48-month healthy lifestyle
program for
overweight
women

Research study for women with little to
no knee pain. Participants will also receive
financial compensation.

For over 30 years, our international research team has conducted successful weight loss studies. Our team is now conducting The Osteoarthritis Prevention Study (TOPS). We are looking for women to enroll in a 48-month healthy lifestyle program.

Osteoarthritis is the leading cause of disability in women over the age of 50. By studying women with little to no knee pain, our goal is to identify measures that can be taken to prevent the onset of this debilitating condition.

Study sites include Wake Forest University, UNC-Chapel Hill, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the University of Sydney.

The study sponsors include the National Institutes of Health, the Arthritis Foundation, CDC, Wake Forest University and Rapid Nutrition.
